How it all started?

During the first few weeks of lock down, I drank a lot of coffee. We have a small coffee maker at home, so I would have to discard the coffee grounds from the previous round in order to make the next few cups of coffee for myself.

I hated throwing this coffee because it felt as though I was wasting it, so I kept asking myself, just by some water passing through it, how can it become waste? I stumbled upon some articles that directed me towards exploring the idea of making coffee soaps.

I had no experience in soap making before this, so this I started reading up a lot about how soaps are made, the ingredients required, the different kinds of methods that exist, the fragrances, and so much more.

This is a WIP and I will keep making more as and when I get new ideas, I explored the cold process and melt and pour methods. However, I decided to stick to the melt and pour one since I was more interested in the look and feel of the soap, the fragrance, arranging it into themes instead of merely just making the soap.

The melt and pour method gave me time to focus on that aspect of it!

Keep a lookout! I upload my soap making stories regularly on my instagram handle!
